Humphrey’s Peak Trail

Did you know Native American tribes in the area consider the San Francisco Peaks to be sacred? The peaks are thought to be home to spirits, and to direct people to the holy site. Pick a day to hike up to Humphrey’s Peak, the highest point in Arizona at 12,633 feet. The trail starts out easy and gets very difficult near the end due to steep climbs and thin air.
